C.M.L.L. AGM Minutes
Schanks South October 6, 2009
- Mike Phillips motioned to accept minutes of the 2008 AGM seconded by Don Wilmot, carried.
- Elections - All names to be carried forward into 2010, Rob Denholm has stepped forward to assist with Scott Usher as the Treasurer to take over in 2011 when Scott retires.
- Scott Usher reported that we are in a good financial situation with approx. $2,000.00 in the bank and no bills.
- Leon and Richard will be doing the Jersey count in the next week and deposit cheques for Jersey’s not returned.
- There will be no rule changes for 2010, Larry did report that the two man rule will only be enforced when the two players are in the play.
- Although there is no current Junior Masters we will support them (ie. Goalie equipment) if someone (ideally a player) steps forward to champion the program.
- Jason was not present to report on the webpage and we trust he will continue in the role as it is very well done.
- Mike Phillips reported that although registration is down, there still seems to be positive feedback.
- Calgary Cup will be held June 4,5 and 6, 2010 Mike Board will champion this with assistance again from Richard Marnier, Rob Denholm and Leon Perrier we hope to get teams from both Ontario and B.C.
- Larry will again act as director of Refs for 2010 and has stepped forward to be the RIC for Masters in Alberta.
- Mike Phillips reported the turn out has not been great for field .
- It was voted to have the winter session at Viper indoor field and that we would run a field format to endorse the field teams going to Manchester .
- Don Aldred reported no major issues with the goalies but that we need to get equipment back from Morgan, Dan, and Rob.
- Draft Process for 2010 to be discussed at the draft.
- Manchester 2010 – Wayne Sutherland reported that there is fund raising under way and a training program to send a Grand Master’s team, Toby Oickle is trying to assemble a Master’s team.
- Masters to apply to be a club on our own at the ALA meeting in November.
- It was voted to keep the trainers on board for the 2010 season but that they be in attendance ½ hour before the first game and until the end of the final game.
- Mike Phillips motioned to adjourn, seconded by Don Wilmot carried.
